Janine Kirk was the founding Chief Executive of The Prince's Trust Australia from Jan 2013 to Jan 2019, representing His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales’ charitable endeavours in Australia. Prior to her appointment Janine was a Partner at EY where she was responsible for establishing and leading the Victorian Government & Public Sector practice for the firm. She was also Oceania Leader Community; and a Director of the EY Foundation.
Prior to EY Janine was the Chief Executive of The Committee for Melbourne an apolitical, not-for-profit, member-based organisation that brings together over 150 organisations from Greater Melbourne's business, academic, arts and community sectors who have a passion for shaping Melbourne as a leading global city.
She is currently Chair, Phoenix Australia – the Australian Centre of Excellence for Posttraumatic Mental Health, Chair HousingFirst, an affordable and social housing association, Chair of The Melbourne Prize Trust, and is Deputy Chair of the Women and Families United by Defence Service Council.
Janine’s long service to the community has been recognised by being awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her contribution to Melbourne and child welfare, an honorary Doctor of Laws from Monash University and a Deakin University Vice -Chancellor’s Distinguished Fellows Award for contributions to business, education and the community.
